What is Wiki Race?
Wiki Race is a multiplayer speed challenge that starts on one Wikipedia article and ends on a surprise destination. Every player opens the same starting article and can only use in-article links to navigate the encyclopedia. The first person to reach the target wins bragging rights and the round. It is a simple idea that celebrates curiosity, pattern recognition, and a healthy dose of friendly chaos.
Who built it?
Game design & product
A rotating crew of puzzle enthusiasts and UX designers craft the lobby flow, fine-tune pacing, and make sure the experience feels welcoming to new racers and veterans alike.
Engineering
The engineering team built a lightweight WebSocket server and polished web client so that clicks and page loads stay in sync, even when your group is sprinting through dozens of tabs.
Community
Community moderators gather feedback, curate featured race ideas, and highlight epic finishes shared by players around the world.

We want to make it effortless to gather a group of friends, classmates, or coworkers and learn something unexpected together. Wiki Race keeps competition light-hearted, encourages exploration of open knowledge, and provides tools that make hosting and spectating just as enjoyable as playing.
